Makaylin Davidson-Nash
Youth Programs Director
Makaylin is a Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist who has spent the past five years working at the intersection of mental health, adaptive recreation, and the outdoors. She is passionate about helping kids discover their own courage through movement, creativity, and connection. Since joining The Courage Project, she has guided campers through mindful adventures that blend play, nature, and self-discovery. When she’s not leading hikes or paddling on the lake, you can find her chasing sunrises, mountain biking, painting in the sun, or getting lost in a good book.

Shireen Karimi- Adult Programs Director & Therapeautic Lead
Shireen deeply believes in making mental health accessible to all and is passionate about exploring new & unique ways to connect people to their truest selves. Shireen will be completing her master's in counseling from the University of Nevada, Reno in May and will be practicing under supervision as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. Shireen's background is in environmental education, outdoor education, and guiding. When she isn't spending time outside climbing or running, she is enjoying a good book, going for a long dog walk with friends or trying out some new recipes.

Kelley Kasper, Associate MFT- Adult Programs Co-director & Therapeautic Lead
Kelley is an Associate Marriage and Family therapist originally from Maine, now residing in the Sierras for the past ten years. She earned her master's in counseling at the University of Nevada, Reno and is currently working towards becoming a fully liscensed therapist. With over fifteen years of experience in outdoor leadership, Kelley has worked in outdoor education, wilderness therapy, guiding, and more. She believes the outdoors is a powerful space for connecting with ourselves, each other, and the humbling force of nature. Kelley is excited to help build therapeautic wilderness healing opportunities in this community.
